Marfa’s Story:

Marfa was pulled from ACS in an effort to make much needed room for incoming Hurricane Harvey refugees. She was formerly used as a breeder but is now ready to meet a family that will love her for the rest of her days! Marfa is currently in need of foster placement. If you can help, email: or complete an application in the “Foster FAQ” section of our website.

Hi, my name is Marfa. I am a two year old staffie. I was found with a little male friend of mine touring the streets of San Antonio. The animal officer that picked us up told us we were lost and he was going to help us. We weren’t really lost, we just never had a home of our own. I believe in the saying that “not all who wander are lost” BUT boy do I long for a place to call home. I would love a family with kids and possibly another dog. I will stay in a crate when you leave if you want me to, I’m not a picky eater and I give the best snuggles!!
