We are excited to launch our Breed Friendly Housing Initiative and partner with Real Estate professionals that support our rescue mission and advocate for bully breeds.

The goal of this team is to get more people into breed friendly housing, keep families together and increase the adoption rate of mislabeled “aggressive” breeds. If you are looking to purchase a home, find a breed friendly rental, refinance or sell your home with a professional that supports ACPBR, look no further! For every closed transaction, a donation is made to Alamo City Pit Bull Rescue.

Isliana Norwood

Isliana Norwood

VP of Mortgage Lending

Greetings, Isliana here! I am the President of Alamo City Pit Bull Rescue, a dedicated volunteer, foster mom and am proud to be spearheading our Breed Friendly Housing Initiative. I have enjoyed helping clients make their dreams of homeownership come true over the past 12 years but did not realize just how imperative owning a home could be until I got involved in bully breed specific rescue. Unfortunately most apartment complexes and property management companies implement unfair breed restrictions that can make keeping families together difficult. Owning your own home removes that uncertainty and is a great step for dog owners!

I started the first Guaranteed Rate Affinity branch in San Antonio and am happy to work for a company that offers so many options for my clients: loans for Veterans, down payment assistance/low down payment options, Condominium/Manufactured Housing financing, conforming products, brokered loans and more!

Kyra Smith

Kyra Smith

Sales Executive

My name is Kyra Smith and I work for Alamo Title as a Sales Executive. My job is to increase our escrow business by building relationships with realtors, builders and lenders. I help create a fluid system between the client and the escrow officer and their unit. We want every customer to feel comfortable working with us, regardless of whether this is their first purchase, refinance or sale or their 100th.

I support the Breed Friendly Housing Initiative not only because my dog, Wallace, is part pit but because so many people I know own and love the breed. Wallace was introduced to my husband and I back in 2009. Our friend, Kristin, found him in the San Marcos River. He was thin, had a buck shot in his ear and near death. She rescued him, took him to the vet and gave him a great home. Kristin couldn’t keep him due to the other animals she already had and living on a student’s income. My husband was hesitant, not because of his breed. We had never had an animal together. Growing up we owned an animal of every kind imaginable and my brother managed a pet store. I was able to convince him and we have never regretted a second. We now have two children that adore Wallace as much as we do. No one could ask for a better dog when it comes to a best friend, obedience, protector, etc. Wallace is amazing in every way!
