Bonnie was found as a stray.
Greetings! My name is Bonnie. I’m about 1-2 years old. I currently live with my foster mom and her family which include one pitty mix and one grumpy senior Brussels Griffon. I must tell you that I am a super-fast learner. I almost immediately learned how to use the doggy door after watching my foster siblings use it a couple of times! So, I use the doggy door when I need to do my business or when I need to get my zoomies out and have never had an accident in the house. I know right? Piece of cake!
I am very sweet, eager to please and treat motivated. I can be high energy but am fast to settle down when it’s time to relax. I am quickly learning my manners in the home and on a leash and would make a great walking or running buddy. I do get a bit focused on other doggies or squirrels outside, but I am getting –SQUIRREL– better at leaving it each time. I do well in my kennel when it’s time to sleep or stay safe while my foster mom is out. My 10-pound foster brother is older and grumpy and barked at me a few times, so I give him plenty of space and respect his boundaries. I am BFFs with my foster sister though. She and I are like two peas in a pod. She likes to romp with me and do zoomies in the backyard. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting any tiny humans yet, but I do have one human foster teenage brother who gives me great belly rubs. I am a little scared of the older human gentleman that everyone calls Grandpa in my foster home. So, I softly bark at him sometimes when he comes out of his room, but he always gives me gentle pets, so I am learning that he is not so scary. My favorite things in life are long walks, chew toys, playing with my foster sibling, sunbathing in the backyard, getting pets, and eating. I am eager to please and would make a great forever family member.
