My name is Lily, I am a little over 2 years old wi My name is Lily, I am a little over 2 years old with an outgoing friendly personality. I am very affectionate and loyal and nothing would please me more than to be at your side. My foster parents say I have excellent snuggle skills. I will help you in the kitchen, if you accidentally spill food on the floor I will help with the clean up. I love to go on walks and even run with you.

I like to play with squeaky toys and love playing outside with my foster four-legged sisters. I get along with other dogs and even cats! I love Playing-tug–of-war with a dog toy, take-a-away, tag and rough-housing, and running out in the yard are some of my favorite things to do. Friendly and Playful should be my nicknames according to my foster mom, because that’s who I am. I appreciate looking out the window to see what is going on in the world. I like to sunbathe when the sun is out.

My foster mom always says that I am her shadow, since I am always following her around the house and sleeping on her slippers. I am the best doorbell ever, I will let you know someone is coming even before they get to the door. I love my head rub. My favorite things to do are get treats, love, lots of kisses and most of all, snuggling with someone. I like meeting new people and making friends with everyone I meet, but most of all I am looking forward to my furever home to show how much I can love you.

We are still in need of placement for two of the three apartment doggos still under the care of Balcones Heights. They’re confused, stuck in boarding and it would be really great to give them a second chance at a happy life 🐶

Please read through the info about each pawesome pooch below and reach out if you think you might be a fit:

Left: Female, approx. 2 years old, ~45 lbs
Takes some time to get her bearings but as soon as she’s found the apple of her eye… she won’t leave your side! She was interested in playing with our temperament test doggo but a little unsure. She would do best in an easy going household sans busy schedules, wild house parties, kiddos and the like. Laid back, balanced four legged friends would be the pawfect match!

Right: Male, approx 2-3 years old, ~60 lbs
What a hunk! He plays a confident, cool cat on TV but he’s really a bit of a scaredy cat on the inside. He is very playful, strong and needs an experienced handler to show him the ropes. We would prefer he be the only pet in your home and heart but would consider a foster fam adept at setting healthy boundaries, allowing for decompression time and short/sweet intros to resident canine friends. No cats please 😬

If you have questions about our program, want to know more about either doggo or (hopefully) are ready to take the plunge and become a foster, email: foster.alamocitypitbull@gmail.com
Are you searching for a cuddle buddy at night? And Are you searching for a cuddle buddy at night? And an adventure partner during the day? For something to brighten up your mornings with kisses? That other half that looks at you with complete adoration? Stop looking for a human soulmate, because Gracie is your perfect match. Gracie is a great companion, that will never ever leave your sight…unless you leave the door open (then you might need to chase her around the neighborhood), but she will follow you around the house, take long naps next to you, and love every minute of attention she can get. She loves kids, dogs, and people, but can be a little too much at first… so you might need to give her time to get over her first impression excitement. She loves cheese as a snack, sleeping in and can easily chill in her crate whenever you need her to. We must add that she has the cutest ears to pair with her sweet personality. She is the whole package and will let you play dress up from time to time. If you are interested in adopting her, reach out! …you won’t regret it!

Gracie suffers from incontinence. Her bladder is badly damaged (likely hereditary) and does not function properly however, she looks heckin’ cute in her diapers and it is not a hinderance to her quality of life.
Wally was pulled from ACS this week. After our ple Wally was pulled from ACS this week. After our plea we were able to pull two dogs thanks to veteran ACPBR fosters stepping up. We haven’t received any new applications since last year. What’s holding you back?!
