Boerne was found by a good Samaritan in June who found her a new home. In December, her finder got a call that he had been abandoned and badly injured from being hit by a car. They took Boerne back, rehabilitated her and refused to give up on her. Now that she is fully rehabbed, she is ready to find the forever family she truly deserves.
Boerne is an empathic snuggle-bear! She’s that rare sort of pooch who is so thoughtful, and cares so much about how others feel, that she could easily become one of the most important ‘people’ in your life. She’ll come thump-thump-thumping over to you with her big goofy smile and then roll her big lumpy self over for belly rubs – oomph! She’s a lot to hold in your lap but gives the best cuddles. Those eyes get you every time too. She can look in your eyes like she knows exactly what kind of day you’ve had. You should see her when you turn on the TV! The way she races to get to his favorite spot on the couch. But don’t worry — all it takes is the gentlest nudge to scoot her. This dog loves absolutely everyone. She’s just only very cautious, shy and protective of her people. Boerne would love to have a forever home that she can stay, run, and play. She sits, fetches and is food motivated. She needs a companion that will spend time and be patient during these puppy years. She is a very sweet and wonderful dog. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and children. Please consider meeting Boerne and giving her the loving, fun filled home she deserves.
