Birdie’s Story:

Birdie (formerly Eclipse) was abandoned at an elementary school with her mom and sister. A good Samaritan brought her in and she spent over a year in foster care. She is now being returned after her adoption three years ago.

Hi, my name is Birdie and I’m a 3-year old, petite Pit Bull mix. When I’m excited, I flit around like a little bird, hence my name! I’m naturally anxious, but once I get to know you, I’m very loving and affectionate. I prefer to be with my people/person so I hope that you will work or spend time at home with me. I do fine when left home on my own (crate optional) and will nap or look out the window. I’m a low-energy dog who thrives on routine, so a walk every day is just enough for me. The best home for me will be one where I’m the only dog or I’m paired with a male (I don’t care for cats or other female dogs). I do well with older or calm children as long as they are respectful of my needs as an anxious pup (time to trust, space, etc.). I like treats and peanut butter is my favorite! I’m healthy and current on my vaccinations.
