Kel

Kel’s Story:

Kel was rescued from ACS death row after a foster stepped up with literally 20 minutes to spare. He and his brother Keenan were picked up together as strays.

Hi, my name is Kel and I’m looking for my forever home!  I enjoy hanging out in my foster home, but I can’t wait to meet my forever family.  My foster mom says I’m going to make my new family really lucky because I’m such a good boy.  Aside from my off-the-charts good looks, I’m potty trained, crate trained, and I walk really well on a leash.  I really enjoy being outside in the sun, and I’ve been known to take a break in the middle of my walks to sunbathe for a minute.  What can I say, I’m just a laid back guy. Don’t get me wrong though, I enjoy romping around with my four-legged foster siblings, playing with my favorite stuffed toy which I often walk around the house with in my mouth, and I love watching dog shows on tv.  Foster mom gets a kick out of watching me watching tv – she says those dog shows put me in a trance because I refuse to look away! I’m also an expert doggie door user, I love to go on car rides, and I know how to sit like the good boy that I am. Foster mom and I are working on some other commands and it’s just a matter of time before I ace those too since I’ll do anything for a yummy treat.  You may notice in some of my earlier pics that I had a cloudy eye. That’s because I got a pretty gnarly eye injury and infection when my brother Keenan and I were living on the streets. But foster mom spent weeks laying me in her lap and treating my eye with medicine and I’m all good now. Even though my eye has healed, I still take every opportunity to climb into my foster mom’s lap whenever she sits down.  Snuggle time is my favorite time of the day. So, if I’m meant to spend the rest of my evenings falling asleep in your lap, come find me – I’m dreaming of you!
