FREEDOM! Deacon was sprung from the shelter today FREEDOM!

Deacon was sprung from the shelter today and is safe in foster. He’s an older gent that was surrendered by his former owners with a chihuahua pal who was rescued a few days ago. Despite this sweet mug being shared with us over and over again, no one was stepping up to foster. It’s almost April and year-to-date we still haven’t received any new applications meanwhile there’s no shortage of doggos that need us. Fortunately one of our current fosters who’s used to big, handsome fellas (she previously fostered Teddie 😍) was willing to open her home to Deacon.

You can support Deacon’s care but donating toward his medical expenses or sending a bag of senior food from our wishlist.

…and don’t forget, we always need fosters! If you’ve been on the fence, now is the time!
My name is Macchiato but people call me Mac (retur My name is Macchiato but people call me Mac (return of the Mac). I was living a life on the streets before the Blanco PD picked me up and I found myself in the slammer. But that week in lock up had me changing my ways and I’m now looking to find someone who will call me their own.

I think my ideal home is one where I am the only dog and definitely no cats (yuck). Cuddling with my humans and getting butt scratches are my favorite and I’m just not willing to share my space. I’m great with kids as long as they are older because I tend to be a bit too excitable for the little ones.

I’ve been working really hard on learning to be a good boy with basic obedience, walking nicely on a leash, and playing fetch. Food is one of my favorite things EVER so if you want me to learn a new trick, just make sure you have a treat in your hand! Guys, I’m ready for my forever home. I’m working hard to be the best boy and I just know that you’ll love me if you meet me. What do you say??
Congratulations to Carrie for winning our caption Congratulations to Carrie for winning our caption contest! We’re living for this T Swift reference 🎶

How do you spell LOVE? TILLY! How do you spell JOY? TILLY! How do you spell MISCHIEF? (uh-oh)… Tilly!

Hi! I’m Tilly. I’m a sweet little girl, approximately six months old, and small for my age. I weigh around 35 pounds, but the vet thinks I won’t grow very much (I’m what they call a low rider). I love people and dogs. In fact, I wag a hearty welcome to our guests, as well as the Amazon, UPS, and FedEx delivery people. My buddies are a 4-pound toy poodle and two 80-pound labs. I gently play with the poodle and wrestle the labs. I sleep in my crate at night, but during the day, I love to cuddle and will crawl up on your lap for a nap or just to snuggle. I walk pretty well on leash and am a great traveler. I love to play with toys, but I’ve just reached the chewing stage so make sure they’re indestructible. I’m smart, quick to learn and know quite a few commands. I’m strong willed and definitely have a mind of my own, but I also want to please. I respond well to praise and affection. Your life will never be the same after knowing me. I’ll return all that love and much more.
